Four checks run right here in your browser and show you what your internet provider, the wifi owner and every site you open can already see. Nothing you enter leaves your device.
Four checks below tell you exactly which of these already has your details.
A six point walkthrough of every way your connection gives you away, with a plain language readout for each open gap and a fix list ordered by how much it exposes you.

Everything below runs inside your browser. No result is sent to us, stored, or attached to your name.
Every website you open receives this address before the page even loads. Your browser is asking a public lookup service what address your traffic arrives from, and NetworkSignalVPN never sees the result.
Every time you type a web address, a DNS resolver turns that name into a number, and whoever runs it sees the name of every site you visit. This test sends a handful of random lookups and reads back which resolvers answered.
Type one built the same way, with the same length and the same mix of letters, numbers and symbols. The score comes out the same, because the shape is what gets tested, not the word.
This field is not inside a form and has no submit button. What you type is scored by code running on your device, is never sent anywhere, and disappears when you close the tab.
A VPN builds an encrypted tunnel between your device and a server run by the VPN company. Your traffic goes through that tunnel first, so the people who used to read your activity now see the tunnel instead.
The same four points as the diagram at the top of the page, with the tunnel in place.
They see an encrypted connection to a VPN server rather than the list of sites you opened. The names of the pages travel inside the tunnel.
NordVPN runs its own DNS resolvers, so the lookups this page just tested travel through the tunnel instead of going to your provider.
A kill switch blocks traffic if the VPN connection fails, so your real address is not handed out during the gap. It covers Windows, macOS, Linux, iOS, Android and Android TV.
This is the service we point readers to when the checks above come back exposed. One app on each device, handling all three problems at once.

Work down the list in order. The first three close the gaps this page just tested.
The checks on this page do not fix anything on their own. They only show you the gaps. One encrypted tunnel closes the address, the DNS path and the leak in a single step.

The checks on this page run entirely in your browser. Your public address lookup and DNS test are performed by your own device, the password field is scored on your own device and asks you for a lookalike rather than a real password, and none of these results are stored by NetworkSignalVPN.
